In France, 22% of the policemen are policewomen. Today women can be found in all the police services, even in the toughest of them.They are young, they are cops and they’ve chosen to work in the street.Nathalie, 31, works in Nanterre’s Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC).Sandrine, 31, was the first woman accepted into the Rouen BAC.Sabine, 38, is a pillar of the GTFD, the police force of the La Rochelle police station whose task is catching criminals in the act (flagrant delicto).Delphine is a police chief. At 33, she is responsible for Marseilles security at night. She has 150 men under her orders, policemen trying to keep the peace in one of the toughest of France’s cities.Four women of action who also have their private lives. In a couple, sometimes married and mothers of children. A private life which they refuse to speak about. There’s no question of lifting the curtain on the “paradise” which they find at night after having put their guns into the closet.
