Winter: I live on a campsite | M6 | 66 minutes
For most of us camping conjures up the idea of summer holidays. However, for Angelique, it’s a dwelling where she lives all year round. For 200€ per month, Angelique and her neighbours are entitled to live in a mobile home in the southern suburbs of Paris. They sleep sheltered from the bad weather. But not from the cold. When it freezes, as it does now, they are forced to break the ice and heat it in order to drink. And that is not their only problem: Angelique and her neighbours now have to contend with the mayor’s plan to put a stop to this unofficial housing. Like them, 85,000 poor French people live in makeshift dwellings.
