He is one of the thousands of Tunisians fleeing their country, whose economy has collapsed following the revolution. After spending his savings of 1,500 Euros to pay the trafficker who got him across the Mediterranean, Haitem arrived in Nice without a penny. In an illegal situation in France, Haitem dodges between police checks and drivers who are willing to give him a ride. Through his various encounters Haitem discovers that the situation in France is not quite so idyllic as he imagined.
