After decades languishing in the back of the closet, the hat is coming out in triumph, both for men and women… both young and old… every label is back in the game, with hats for every budget. This winter, the trilby is back on top. All the stars have taken it up, from Pharell Williams to Beyoncé, by way of Marion Cotillard. The star accessory is a reminder of the classiest of looks, from the 30s to the 70s. The French are leading the trend: within a few months dozens of new designers have launched in with such success that they are even bringing life back to hundred-year-old factories that were doomed to closure.
