THE TWINS FESTIVAL | M6 | 66 minutes

In the Brittany village of Pleucadeuc, population 1800, an original event has taken place every August 15 for the last 26 years. A day when they have a party and see double, but that’s not because of the cider that flows in gallons… What they’re actually celebrating is twins, triplets and quadruplets. For a whole day, incredible siblings from all over France, and sometimes from beyond, gather to share this festival that is unique in Europe. Angèle and Jeanne, 17-year-old twins and Benoit and Thomas, 18, met there four years ago and have been attending together ever since. On the other hand, Nadia and Régine, 50, are making their first twins’ pilgrimage. The watchwords are: sharing and good humor, but also physical challenges between twins! You come across as many different groups of siblings as there are touching family stories. To make sure all is ready, the tiny village pulls out all the stops: 400 volunteers work to prepare for the event. And on the program: festival banquet, Olympic games, release of doves, parade and, of course, a big family photo.
