LARGE FAMILIES: THEIR XXL SUMMER | M6 | Zone Interdite
The life of a large family is never one of idleness… and neither is their vacation! Gwenaëlle and Grégoire have five children, aged 2 to 7 and they’re going to discover the English countryside! They’ve swapped their house in Saint Denis for a delightful cottage. Low cost vacation. Once here, Grégoire, a History teacher, can’t stay still. He’s already planned a schedule packed with cultural visits, much to the dismay of his children, who just want to go to the beach and laze around. Maria, Laurent and seven of their children are treating themselves to a week’s camping. This recomposed family has rented a giant mobile home to house the whole lot. Maria has six children aged 7 to 17 and her partner, Laurent, has a son of 19. On the program: pool, dancing and bike rides. But Laurent, in particular, has a secret objective: he intends to propose to Maria. Philippe, Sophie and their six kids are adventurers: they live all year round on a boat. The parents home-tutor the kids all year round. With them, it’s the kids who choose the vacations… and who organize them! This year, Isaie, 9, is the skipper… He’s arranged a complete canoe trip along the river Leyre. They’ll travel 90 km between Commensacq and the Arcachon basin. They’ll camp. All under the “orders” of the young man. Marie-Pascale and her four grown children have set themselves a crazy challenge: cross Asia on bikes! Having made no major preparations, they will need to peddle dozens of miles per day in a testing tropical climate, on roads that are not always well marked, through regions where English speakers are rare. Joy, stress, discovery and excitement. We plunge into the intense vacations of XXL families.
