This week, the story raised indignation. In Paris a young mother and her baby were expelled by their landlord from a property measuring 4 square metres, for which she paid 200 Euros per month. An affair that revealed the scandal of these tiny surfaces rented out at exorbitant prices. There are thought to be hundreds in Paris alone. And yet the law prohibits the letting of any property of less than 9 square metres. However, checks are non-existent. And these lodgings, unfit but highly profitable, are much sought after by certain investors. Have owners the right to let these rooms, often without windows or toilets? How can you spot those deceitful small ads?
