His idea of genius was to wake up people through their noses! It’s 8 AM and your alarm starts to smell increasingly of… mint, or chocolate… Your nose stirs… And so does body… This is the most gentle alarm in the world and it exists because of a Frenchman, Guillaume Rolland! This 18-year-old student, already winner of the Lépine competition with his olfactory alarm, grabbed the attention of Google. As a result he was in California three weeks ago with his invention for the final of the Google Science Fair, the Web giant’s worldwide inventors competition!! At a time when he’s just received his scientific baccalaureate and entered engineering college, Guillaume is about to discover the secret world of Google at Mountain View with the dream of leaving with the first prize. How did he think of this alarm, what sort of inventor is he, what are his hopes for this competition? We are with him and his mother to follow this incredible adventure, this American dream of Guillaume, the first French person to be accepted for the final of this international competition.
