Riches and ruin: after living a life of luxury, Denise and Jean D’Annella, 75 and 83 years old, are now living on social security. But they are suing for tens of millions of Euros that they claim they were cheated of. The story begins in the 30s: their father, a wealthy businessman, built the prestigious Martinez luxury hotel in Cannes. As payment he received 8% of the shares in the hotel. However, after the war and five successive changes of owner, the builder has never received his share in the hotel. The hotel now belongs to an American group, which doesn’t consider itself bound by an eighty year-old lawsuit.
