Once a week the Saint Malo magistrates court hears cases against citizens who all have one thing in common: driving under the influence. During this session, nicknamed the Muscadet hearing” some thirty drivers troop through the dock. Men, women, teens or retirees, all have been tested with more than 0.5 grams of alcohol in their blood¾the “frontier” between sobriety and offence.
