Eastern prostitution networks : golden pavements | M6 | Zone Interdite

What’s really happening on the French sidewalks? How is it that thousands of young girls who only know how to say in French “Two hundred francs the blow-job, three hundred francs for love-making” have taken over the sidewalks without any official reaction on the pretext that prostitution is legal in France? There may be up to 10,000 girls in this situation, exploited as common merchandise on the sidewalks. We wanted to understand how it is possible that whole generations of young girls from Eastern countries find themselves as prostitutes on the French streets. For seven months we investigated the means by which these Eastern European-based networks are exploiting their own young girls. The seven month investigation took us from Paris to Nice to Slovakia to Bulgaria. Naturally, money is the motor behind it all. Our film team followed Philippe Dorcet, examining magistrate in Nice and specialist on Eastern European prostitution networks, and, for the first time, was able to set up a meeting with the head of a Bulgaria-Nice network.
