DEADLY DALLIANCE | Enquêtes criminelles | W9

It is three in the morning on April 22 2007 at La Grande Motte, a coastal resort in the south of France. A couple is leaving the Venusia, a wife-swapping club. They are Paul Mistler, a 60 year-old former banker, and his wife, Diane, 20 years his junior. Suddenly, on the club’s parking lot, a man looms out of the shadows and stabs Paul Mistler twenty times. Moments later the former banker dies from his wounds. The alarm is sounded immediately. The police comb the area and soon arrest the perpetrator, who was trying to flee. His name is Franz Diguelman, 40. He is a waiter and he makes a staggering revelation to the investigators: yes, he was the killer. Franz Diguelman, madly in love with Diane, is thought to have wanted to get rid of the troublesome husband. From then on all the investigators’ efforts are to learn whether Diane Mistler was aware of her lover’s macabre plan and whether she planned the murder, as Franz Diguelman claims. However, the investigation becomes even more complicated when the police discover that Paul and Diane Mistler were a libertine couple with the most unbridled of morals…
