BRIDE’S BOUTIQUE | M6 | 66 minutes

It has to be the most wonderful day of their lives. The day they say ‘yes’ and everything has to be perfect. That longed-for wedding is planned months in advance and it all starts with the Brides Show. Over the weekend of 14/15 September, 300 exhibitors offer their dream wares at the Porte de Versailles where nearly 50 thousand future intended, stars in their eyes, will come to buy: wedding dress designers, caterers, hair-stylists, DJs as well as decorators and experts in the latest technology or trends, such as photo booths (that create a frenzy at a party) and stain-free dresses. Sophie is getting married next July and she’s going to the show with her mother and her mother-in-law. It’s all there for her to discover. She’s set a budget of 15 to 20 thousand Euros. One thing is certain: her future husband must not see her dress and can only join her at the end of the day. Gwen, 34, a young wedding dress designer, only started out in this highly specialized sector of the fashion market eighteen months ago. This show is of capital importance because it sets the tone for the opening of the season with its initial orders. It also sets the trend as to whether 2020 will be a good year for weddings. In 2018, with 235 weddings, there was a jump of nearly 5%. The count-down has started for Agnès, the organiser. She has to oversee the setting up of the stands and the catwalks where models will display wedding dresses. She selected them and she will be backstage to orchestrate the show. If you want to be in on the party, get over to the Bridal Show.
