Gaël Leiblang has followed different teams responsible for preventing reckless drivers from killing on the French highways. For these “sheriffs of the highway” there is only one policy: that of zero tolerance. Captain Collorig who directs the Versailles EDRS has developed a theory of accidents using a system of colored vignettes so as to establish a map of the accidents in his district. In Paris, we also followed the Accidents Central Service where police teams relieve each other 24 hours on 24, seven days a week, intervening for the most serious accidents when the paramedics have been requisitioned. Finally, we also focused our cameras onto highway A7 along with the gendarmes of the Malataverne auto-route squad during the big vacation departures when the flow of traffic is up to 4500 cars an hour.
