The Murdered Squire | M6 | 66 minutes

Could a notable family doctor, appreciated by all and respected in the region, be behind the murder of his son-in-law? The question has had Belgium in a state of excitement ever since the discovery of the body of Stijn Selens, killed by a bullet wound. At first sight, the victim was the ideal son-in-law. Stijn was the owner of a castle and had inherited a family fortune. However, behind this facade lay a fantastical personality. A fanatic about Nature, Stijn had become close to an ecological movement that verged upon mysticism. And Stijn was planning to emigrate to Australia with his wife and children to live in an eco-village run by the movement. For his father-in-law, this project meant that his daughter and his four grandchildren, whom he adored, would be become inaccessible to him. Did this prospect drive him insane to the point of plotting a crime?
