This is the story of a family terrorized by a tyrannical and violent father. Found guilty of the attempted murder of his son, Cyril, Bernard Estrampes, aged 62, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment. However on Christmas Day last year, he escaped, chiseling through the boundary fence of the Mauzac prison in the Dordogne. Since then, his wife and children, who had given testimony against him at the trial, have been living in fear. Every night, they barricade themselves in, terrified at the thought that this violent father might return to wreak vengeance. He had already threatened them by mail from his prison cell.
