Perugia, in the center of Italy, is usually a quiet sort of city and a dream destination for the 10,000 foreign students who go there every year to learn Italian.But on November 2, 2007 a young English woman, Meredith Kercher, aged 21, was found dead in her room, her throat slashed. Her roommate, Amanda, an American student, Raphael, her boyfriend and Rudy, a young Italian of Ivory Coast descent were arrested and questioned for the murder of Meredith.They all protest their innocence.
