The French at the wheel : multi-risk behavior | TF1 | Le Droit de savoir
Security on the roads has become a national challenge. The team of Le Droit de Savoir public affairs program has gone right out into the highways to observe the behavior of the French at the wheel. Drunk drivers, especially coming from discotheques, excessive speed, official cars ignoring the rules of the road, audacious pizza delivery boys, careless street sweepers, fans of the mobile telephone .In spite of the presence of police on the highways and auto-routes, everyone deserves a zero for their driving, the gold medal for bad behavior. Jean-Baptiste Gallot with Christophe Fonseca and Charles Maumy also tested the means of control used by the police such as the famous balloon, which according to specialists is totally ineffective in measuring the amount of alcohol intake by drivers. The new barbarians of the road are responsible for the slaughter which results in thousands of deaths each year. Behind the statistics are suffering families who are unable to get compensation from the judicial system and who are demanding more dissuasive penalties. A fascinating uncompromising investigation revealing the mentalities of the French at the wheel.
