The Disappearance of the Little Twins | M6 | 66 minutes

The fate of these two young girls has had all of France holding its breath for the last week. Alissa and Livia, twin girls of 6, who lived on Lake Leman in Switzerland, disappeared on January 30. All the evidence indicates that it was their father, Matthias Schepp, who abducted them. He was unable to support being separated from their mother. On February 4 his body was found on a railway track in Southern Italy where he had committed suicide. But what happened to the little girls? In an effort to find them, Swiss, Italian and French investigators have engaged in a veritable game of follow the trail. They have reconstructed the crazy flight of their father. After having crossed the South of France, he bought ferry tickets in Marseilles to sail to Propriano in Corsica. He was spotted on board with his two young daughters. After that the clues are sparse. What is the story of this family, which, up till then, appeared to lead an ordinary life? Is there an explanation for Matthias Schepp’s act of folly? And how did the police set about their search for the little twins?
