From shantytown to Monaco: Leomir is living a dream.  This young Brazilian of 16 is taking part in a classical dance competition in Monte Carlo. At stake: a place in a European ballet school and a guaranteed future. For this child of the slums this is an un-hoped for opportunity to escape poverty. This is the first time he has been out of his favela in Rio de Janeiro, the first time he has discovered the world of luxury, the display of wealth that is Monte Carlo. He will have just a few minutes to persuade the judges. If he fails, it’s back to square one.
