I was never brought up to shop in luxury boutiques. Yet Mounira could easily afford to. Her husband is one of the richest men in Morocco. However, this strong personality has chosen to be mummy to the street kids of Tangiers. It’s a worrying situation: hundreds of thousands of young children try, at the risk of their lives, to sneak into nearby Europe, concealed in the chassis of trucks. To persuade them not to leave, Mounira El Alami scours the street in her SUV, taking the kids to a centre where they are taught a trade. With what success?
