It’s not a good time to be a business owner… Since the beginning of 2023, it’s been a bloodbath. Nearly 140 bosses are losing their jobs every day. In the first half of the year, 25,000 of them found themselves out of work, an increase of over 36% in one year! Whether they are restaurant owners, hairdressers, bricklayers or market gardeners… Business owners are struggling, not least because of inflation, staff shortages and ever-increasing charges weighing on their finances. The commercial courts are overwhelmed, and Pôle emploi advisors receive almost as many former employees as company directors. How are these bosses coping with the situation? How do they cope? Who are these men and women who continue to believe in themselves by setting up their own businesses? We’ll be interviewing these small business owners. We’ll give them the floor to express their doubts and concerns, but also to share their hopes.
