Rwanda : Gorillas in the war | M6 | Les Chemins de l'Impossible

Dian Fossey wanted to save the last gorillas of the Congo and Rwanda, she who was one of the first to approach them closely and study them in their natural habitat. Already, twenty-five years ago, they were close to extinction, and her death has not ended the massacres. Since 1994, the gorillas have been unwilling witnesses to and actors in the bloody war plaguing the region. Isolated from the world and from the media since the start of the war, and in spite of the danger surrounding them, the followers of Dian Fossey continue to fight to save the last gorillas. But today, it is the Africans themselves who have taken up the rescue efforts and the study of their natural treasures. This documentary is a testimony to their passion and their fight against chaos, as they try to save the “gorillas of the war.”
