Old people in Prison | France 2 | Envoyé Spécial
In twenty years, the number of prisoners older than sixty has multiplied by five. Today, 337 prisoners are in their seventies, and 22 in their eighties. Three, including Maurice Papon, are 90 years old. Among them, some are physically dependent, although the prisons are not equipped to handle such a population of whom a number are invalids. In prison, the dependent prisoners, impotent or incontinent, have to fend for themselves. The prison is a world conceived only for those in good health.
