MATTHIEU DALLIBERT, WHIPPING BOY UNTIL DEATH | Enquêtes criminelles | W9

Matthieu Dallibert, 27, lived in hell and died a martyr’s death…It all began in 2011 when the 20-year-old met the Duché family. He quickly fell in love with Laurine, one of the girls in this large sibling group. Mentally retarded from birth, the young man is very gullible and will do anything to get closer to the young woman. So he agrees to drop everything and move in with her family. But what Matthieu doesn’t yet know is that he has had the misfortune to join a veritable tyrannical clan headed by a terrible matriarch: Isabelle Vaussenat-Duché.

The family’s vice: money. To get rich, they’re ready for any scam, any fraud, any lie, but also any kind of violence… Their modus operandi: to take in people who are impressionable, vulnerable, sometimes disabled, in order to get their money and welfare benefits. For 6 long years, Matthieu lived at the mercy of this clan.  He is the whipping boy of the mother, her children and other members of the clan. Like a slave, he is forced to perform the worst chores, such as cleaning up dog excrement, and he sleeps on the floor on a mattress. But the clan’s many malpractices draw the attention of the authorities, and Matthieu Dallibert threatens to speak out. He becomes an increasing nuisance, and his elimination is inevitable…

On September 13, 2017, after a secret consultation between Isabelle Vaussenat-Duché and several members of her clan, Matthieu Dallibert was executed in the shed of the Bellon house. He was then dismembered and burned in a wood-burning stove…. But investigators were unable to find any trace of his body. A further torment for his family, who were unable to give him a proper burial.

While the evidence and testimonies accumulate, the matriarch will never admit her involvement either in the hell Matthieu went through, or in his murder. Her accomplices Damien Aristide, Nicolas Duché and Alice Lemoine eventually admitted their respective roles in the young man’s death, but said they had simply followed the matriarch’s orders. After two particularly trying trials for Matthieu’s family and friends, Isabelle Vaussenat-Duché and her son Nicolas Duché were sentenced to life imprisonment, Damien Aristide to 30 years’ imprisonment and Alice Lemoine to two years’ imprisonment for handling a corpse.
