TRIPLE HOMICIDE IN AMIENS : A MONSTER UNDER THEIR ROOF | Enquêtes criminelles | W9

On April 15, 2022, three bodies were found in an apartment in Amiens, in northern France. Jennifer, 26, her sister Amélia, 25, and Jennifer’s son Eliam, just three years old, had all died of asphyxiation. Both young women had also been sexually assaulted.

Suspicion immediately fell on Jérôme Debeauvais, Jennifer’s partner. But he couldn’t be questioned: he was in intensive care after a serious car crash.

Detectives from the Amiens criminal investigation unit turned to the people around him. Jennifer’s family painted a damning picture. They had never trusted Jérôme. He kept to himself at family gatherings, showed little commitment to his relationship or to being a father, and routinely made hurtful remarks to his partner, his in-laws, and even his own son.

As they dug into his past, investigators uncovered a far darker side: a violent, manipulative man. Yet no one could have imagined that, over the course of five days, he would unleash such a bloodbath.

At trial, the face-off between the defendant and his former in-laws was explosive. When the verdict was announced, tensions reached breaking point.

An inside look at a tragedy that tore a family apart.
