The Gare de Lyon train station makes us think of vacation dreams on the Côte d’Azur and trips on the Orient Express. But today it is mostly the station through which thousands of those who live in the suburbs pass to go work in Paris. There are some astonishing personalities : the old gentleman who takes his lunch every Saturday at the same table in the Train Bleu restaurant, still waiting for the woman who gave him a rendezvous ten years before, the pickpocket, or the wandering homeless person to whom the travelers give a few coins.
