Hit man grandpas out for revenge | M6 | 66 minutes

Revenge brought the two retiree partners in crime together: 65 year-old Serge and André, 70. Two men with no police record, who shared a mutual hatred for one of their acquaintances: Gérard Broncy, a small businessman in the area. Serge ran a restaurant in Vert-le-Grand, a village in the Essonne. Eleven years ago, his wife left him for Gérard Broncy. A difficult divorce that is still not forgotten… Two years ago, Serge meets André, a customer in his brasserie and the two men discover they have something in common. André also bears a grudge against the infamous Gérard: he bought André’s business, but never completed the final payments. André is still waiting for 200,000 EUR. As the days go by over almost a year, the idea takes seed in Serge and André’s minds: get revenge on the man who took everything from them, on this crook”. They start looking for a hit man who is prepared to “take care of Gérard”. When they realize the cost of such an operation¾12,000 EUR¾the two avengers lower their sights: one Gino, whom they meet in the brasserie, offers to “break Gérard Broncy’s legs” for 3000EUR. The deal is done. Only Gino is not a hit man, but an undercover cop. In fact, the gendarmes got wind of their revenge scheme and decided to mount an undercover operation. On October 15 last, fake hit man Gino arrives at Serge’s place with a photo of Gérard’s broken legs. Serge has not the slightest inkling that Gérard was not attacked and that the wounds on his legs are the work of a professional makeup artist hired by the police. Serge hands over the promised 3000EUR to Gino. A few hours later, Serge and André are arrested. How could two old men with no history write such a Machiavellian script? At the trial Serge and André are found guilty of “conspiracy to commit crime”. They admit they made the “biggest mistake of their lives” and say they “got carried away by stupidity”. Serge was sentenced to six months in jail and André to four.  On the trail of the avenging grandpas.”
