GIPN : the men of last recourse | TF1 | Le Droit de savoir
For Le Droit de Savoir public affairs program (The Right to Know), the National Police Intervention Group (GIPN) left their doors ajar. Nicolas Moscara was able to film their cracking down actions for five months in Nice: strong arm arrests in the early morning of dangerous pimps, often former military men or policemen from ex-communist countries, making sure armed maniacs are stopped, transfer of a gang leader from Calabrian organized crime Mafia from his cell to the Grasse court. These police of extreme situations intervene also in stadiums to control the hooligans, such as in the recent Paris (PSG) Nice (OGS) match. These highly-trained street-wise men are taciturn by nature and by necessity. Equipped with the most efficient of arms and technology, their interventions are minutely prepared and rehearsed. These assault troops have all the means at their disposal and can be backed up by helicopters and elite sharpshooters. An astonishing remarkable document shot in action.
