Curious to know more, our team followed a unit of riot police (CRS) for one year : in Toulouse where they were responsible for putting out “the fires of unrest” in the suburbs ; in Lens, where they had to control hooligan violence at a football match during the World Cup ; or their dealing with the problem of speedways blocked by angry farmers. The code phrase : “prevent things getting out of hand.” The sincerity of these men face to the camera is surprising.
