Crisis: they’re coming home to Mum and Dad | M6 | 66 minutes

After losing his job and separating from his wife, Philippe was forced to go back to live with his retired parents. Today, at the age of 48 and despite having a job as a computer repairman, he still can’t afford to pay rent. And living with his 79 year-old mother, an extremely fussy person, often becomes a burden. Hervé, on the other hand, is delighted that his mummy is still cosseting him like a baby. He’s a engineer and can afford his own flat, but preferred to return to the family nest… at age 28. Whether through choice or circumstance, the phenomenon of the “boomerang babies” – adults who return to the parental home – is becoming increasingly frequent. What is daily life like when two generations of adults live under the same roof?
