Algeria has the reputation world wide to be a country of massacres. During the legislative elections in 1997, the country partly opened its borders to the international press. We took advantage of this to meet local journalists and to try along with them to better understand the country. First observation : in spite of the situation, life goes on in Algiers…. This moving documentary shows the tactical work of the journalists, the condition of Algerian women, and the complexity of this war without a face.
