IThey had decided to live in the country, just 40 minutes from Paris. The problem is that just opposite their pretty little house in Limeil-Brévannes, an incredible mountain of trash has appeared: 25 metres high and more than 200 metres long. This pile is the product of a waste transit site that suddenly ceased business last November. For ten months, the “rogue boss” and the local authorities have passed the buck back and forth for clearing it. Meanwhile, because of the fires and the disgusting fumes, the heap of rubbish now looks like a smoking volcano outside the local residents’ windows. The irony: right next door they’re building a green neighbourhood.
