INDIA: THE TIGHTROPE WALKERS OF THE HIMALAYAS | France 5 | Les Routes de l'Impossible

During the winter, in the Indian Himalayas, the valleys are virtually cut off from the rest of the country. When Spring arrives, families who left for warmer areas return to their villages to plant the fields. The journey takes several days and you need a strong stomach. Bus drivers brush the rock faces and the precipices with pedal to the metal along roads that are scarcely wider than their vehicles. The truck drivers who supply the remote towns of the Himalayas walk the tightrope along mountain passes at 4,000 m altitude for rock-bottom wages. Using shots from drones, Impossible Roads takes you to the roof of the world as you have never seen it before.
