Episode 5 : Destination Bolivia | M6 | Va voir ailleurs

Carine, 38, single, with no children. Carine has been driving a heavy goods vehicle for three years and travels the roads of France at the wheel of a trailer rig that is 18 metres long! Originally from Toulouse, Carine is a tomboy, but no less feminine for all that. A complete and generous person, Carine has a well-developed personality. We chose to take her to Bolivia to meet her counterpart, Pedro, and travel the roads with him. Together, they covered 1,200 kilometres of poorly paved and precipitous routes where the roads are dotted with gaping holes that batter the old patched-up truck. Endless days, a mixture of laughter and tears, punctuated by exciting encounters. During her journey, she had some rare experiences: meeting salt workers in the Salar dessert. She also drove a machine from another age over the landscape that could belong to another planet. Carine shared the peak moments of the biggest festival in Bolivia, el Gran Poder, and dressed in the traditional costume of Bolivian women, the Cholitas! Did Carine manage to overcome the giddiness that seizes her when she drives over a bridge in the Aveyron? How did she survive the 50 kilometres of the “Road of Death”, where danger lurks at every bend? Did those intense and sometimes difficult moments reinforce the bond between the two drivers? How has this adventure marked this woman with such an assertive personality?
