THE LEJARD CASE : A WIFE’S REVENGE | M6 | 66 minutes

Rognonas, near Avignon. November 24 2010. It’s 6:30 and Christophe Lejard, 48, is getting ready to leave his property. But just as he gets out of his vehicle to open the gate, he collapses to the ground. Several minutes later his family find him lying in a pool of blood. He is no longer breathing. They call the police immediately. The Marseille division takes charge of the investigation. According to the early evidence, Christophe Lejard was killed by a bullet in the head. No other clues. The killer obviously lay in wait for his prey and slew him methodically with a single shot. For investigators this points to a hired killer. Who could have put out such a contract? Christophe Lejard was a successful man. Trained as a carpenter, he started a successful company that is making him a lot of money. A success that doesn’t fail to create envy and arouse jealousy, in particular that of his wife, Roselyne. Because, according to those close to him, Christophe wanted a divorce so he could live with his mistress, but could not reach agreement with his wife on the division of their estate. Did Roselyne Lejard want to have it all by getting rid of her husband? The trail points to a family drama…
