A few miles from Berck, a fashionable seaside resort on France’s Opal Coast, Denis and Christine have taken over the management of the “Miny Park” campsite. There are no leisure activities and no pool on this 200-pitch site. Will they manage to attract holidaymakers?Quentin, 11, and his sister Jennifer, 16, parade?one is lead drummer, the other a trumpet player?in the Burbure band. At the weekend, the family heads for the Claimarais campsite. In this haven of peace, reserved exclusively for residents, they speak “ch’timi”, the local dialect.Every weekend, at Le Touquet, a very “British” resort, Sylvie, a former amateur jockey, joins her family in a cosy middle class family home… With his hit single “Hé biloute montol’son hein!” Didier, known as the DJ of Ch’ti, has become a local star.Georges, a Ch’ti, who has retired to the South, introduces his friends from the Cévennes to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
