Summer tours, village dances: no rest for the artistes | M6 | Zone Interdite

All summer long they travel across France bringing cheerful, popular shows to vacationers. They are the people who get you singing and dancing in village squares and campsites and make you laugh with their unforgettable one-man shows. For a whole summer, teams from Zone Interdite accompanied Eric Roy and his orchestra, a fifteen-strong band, and Swing Paradise, a revue with five pretty girls moving from campsite to campsite to present their act and, finally, there’s Mathieu Madenian, the comic on the up who is touring in the south of France. On the road, side by side with them, we share their life as performers, their joys, their woes, in the heart of the business that creates so many dreams. However, backstage things can be difficult. You have to sleep on campsites, manage an unruly crowd and deal with the hiccups of touring: loss of voice, stress, rivalry. Mathieu Madenian plays date after date to an audience that is already won over. For him, the hotel is a luxury one on the Côte d’Azur. A moment of happiness that he shares with us with good humor. He takes us backstage at his show and has no taboos in revealing his personality.
