SOURDUN BOARDING SCHOOL: EXCELLENCE IN THE SERVICE OF PRIORITY NEIGHBORHOODS | M6 | 66 minutes

Siriné, Paul and Asnath are about to enter 6th Grade. For the first time, these children – barely 11 years old – will leave their families to live at boarding school. Situated sixty miles from Paris, the Sourdun boarding school of excellence is host to 500 students from 6th Grade to graduation. Only the most deserving are selected to study in this public school. The majority of them come from deprived backgrounds or problem schools, but who have excellent results.

Rules are strict at Sourdun, classes are small and the teachers prepared to give their all for their students. Result: last year, the school obtained 98% success at the Baccalaureat! We followed Siriné, Paul and Asnath and their classmates as they enter the Sourdun school of excellence in 6th Grade. We experience their first steps with the big kids… a mix of apprehension, emotion and wild laughter. A discovery of a school that is not quite like the others.
