Police Custody | France 2 | Dimanche Midi Amar

With the passage of the Guigou law on police custody, the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) at Marseilles has their work cut out for them. Each time someone is taken in for questioning, the police must immediately contact the state prosecutor and give reasons for the arrest. Then they have one hour to take the person being questioned before a police officer at the commissariat. A veritable countdown. The person under questioning now has the right during his first hour of police custody to contact a lawyer. This has not only changed the daily life of the Anti-Crime Brigade but also that of lawyers. Portraits of these professions as they are being restructured.
