Nice, behind the scenes | TF1 | Appels d'urgence

Nice. 300 000 inhabitants the winter, nearly 3 million the summer. French, English or Italians, the tourists come to enjoy la Baie des Anges (the Angels Bay), the private beaches, the de luxe hotels and their casinos. A vital manna for the city but also a tempting target for the delinquents. Burglings, ???, robbery with violence, downtown or on the beach, the insecurity is a threat for local tourism. Real plague in summer, ???. A speciality of Nice. In scooter or on foot, the robbers attack the cars at traffic lights, violently tear off the bags and then disappear in the traffic. In summer, in Nice, one counts each day ten ???. The majority of the delinquents, often minor, come from the Ariane, a town of 15000 inhabitants, suburb of the city of Nice. Another plague in estival season : the pickpockets which prevail on the beach. Newcomers, some of these robbers come from Romania. They live in unhealthy shantytowns, installed with some steps of the Promenades des Anglais. While following on the ground the work of the police officers of the Brigade anti-criminality, our crew filmed behind the scenes: la Baie des Anges as one does not see it on the advertising folders.
