MEURICE: THE DOYEN OF LUXURY HOTELS GETS A FACE LIFT | M6 | 66 minutes

228 rue de Rivoli, a mythical address since 1835. It’s that of the Meurice. A legendary hotel since it was the first to obtain the title of palacein Paris. Splendidly situated opposite the Tuileries between the Place de la Concorde and the Louvre, just a short walk from the Place Vendome, it attracts a wealthy clientele from the elegant and artistic. In Paris, the capital with the highest number of luxury hotels in the world, the Meurice’s ambition is to regain the number 1 spot. That is the gamble behind the major works carried out this spring by the grand hotel. For the summer season, the hotel’s finest suites will reopen after renovation by interior designer, Charles Jouffre. A renovation that sets the tone and puts pressure on every department in the hotel, which is continuing to receive guests. We experience life behind the scenes in this prestigious hotel along with Marc-Antoine, the client director and his exceptional team, and Anouk, who has just earned the golden key award for best concierge. We shall also be in the kitchens with chefs Amaury, a student of Alain Ducasse, and Cédric Goulet, crowned world’s best restaurant pastry chef in 2018. How does this mythical palacestill manage to create the event. An immersion into a legendary hotel.
