Louisiana, the chaos | M6 | Soirée spéciale

On August 29 2005 the south of the USA was hit by hurricane Katrina. One of the most violent on record. It was to cause the deaths of 1,836 people, essentially in the state of Louisiana. Damage was considerable: estimated at over 80 billion dollars. The city of New Orleans was 80% submerged by the waves following the bursting of the levees. Actually, Katrina, created chaos before, during and after its passage. Before, the evacuation of the people caused traffic jams on roads all over the country. One million people left the agglomeration.
