Summer 2003. In France, it?s the heat wave. On the shores of the Mediterranean, fires break out just about everywhere. At Saint-Agulf, the campground of the “Vieux Colombier” burns, that of “Pont d?Argens” is evacuated? In “Saint-Aygulf Beach”, the campers are worried. Every day the Canadair planes fly over their tents and trailers. The fires are coming closer. It’s at this camp ground of 4000 people, the biggest in the Var, that our two television teams will spend the summer. Alternating portraits of the French on vacation, from the regulars who spend all their vacations here to the young people from the suburbs who discover, not without humor, camping life? This documentary is the portrait of the French who pass by each other and never meet?except, perhaps, in a campground.
